Shakehand Serving Grips

One area where many of us shakehand table tennis players are envious of our penholder brethren is that of service variation. The penholder grip is naturally suited to producing changes of bat angle and spin that are difficult for the average shakehand grip to replicate.

But never fear, there are ways for us shakehanders to mimic the devasting deceptions and spins produced by penholders when serving. I'll discuss the three basic shakehand service grips, and recommend which is the best for you if you want to become a killer server.
