2008 US Open is Underway!

That's right, the 2008 US Open has already started, taking place from July 2-5 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Technical difficulties appear to be holding up the publishing of up to the minute results, but so far it looks like the top seeds in the Men's Open have advanced - these being Adrian Crisan, Aleksandar Karakasevic, Jorg Rosskopf and Andrei Filimon. Gao Jun of the USA has also defeated Mo Zhang (the 2006 US Open Winner) of Canada in the Women's Open - although it's unclear from the website whether this was the final or just one of the earlier rounds.
