The loop is one of table tennis's sexiest strokes, and the one that most new players want to learn first. But the serve is often just regarded by beginners as a way of starting the rally so that they can get to the real action. This is a mistake that more advanced players avoid - they know that the serve is one of the most important strokes in ping-pong.
