The forehand reverse pendulum serve is one of those table tennis strokes that make new players say What the heck was that?! the first time they see it performed, and then entices them into trying the same serve themselves. After discovering that the serve is not at all easy to perform, many players give up trying. This is a shame, since the reverse pendulum is an extremely useful serve that has become popular at the advanced levels of the sport - with good reason!
