Even though I've been away for a week competing at the 2011 New Zealand Open Veteran's Championships, I still managed to find time to fit a little websurfing in now and then. And it's been another great week for table tennis on the Net, with plenty of new stuff worth taking a look at, such as:
- Donn Olsen from the PATT Institute has two recent articles worth looking at, one musing about the possible physical changes that might occur in table tennis players that begin playing at an early age, and another comparing table tennis coaching to the fields of auto mechanics and automotive engineering. Food for thought.
- Tahl Leibovitz shares his thoughts on the USA's top players in our About.com table tennis forum. Tahl is infamous for some of his whackier postings, but in these two posts there's no doubt that there is a great table tennis brain at work.
- The lads at PingSkills have another PingPod videocast to check out, this time an interview with 2008 Oceania Table Tennis Champion and boomerang throwing World Champion Trent Carter..
- And speaking of Trent Carter, watch this video involving Trent and ex-Australian International player Paul Pinkewich. It's a great advertisement for the sport, and shows what can be done to make table tennis look cool.
- Jackson Meyn of Primetime Ping Pong has a number of new audio interviews to listen to, including those with Dual Paralympic Event Winner Melissa Tapper, New Zealand's 2014 Commonwealth Games hopeful Sarah Her-Lee, PingSkills Jeff Plumb, and Oceania TTF Development Officer Scott Houston. Lots to listen to here!
- And while talking about Sarah Her-Lee, she has a number of new updates on her table tennis blog, including her thoughts on and photos from the recent Christchurch earthquakes, and pictures of her new sponsored outfit.
