Learn to Loop in Table Tennis / Ping-Pong

Thursday August 23, 2007
The loop is considered one of the hardest strokes to learn in table tennis, but it is also an essential weapon that any aspiring ping-pong prodigy has to master. Many players attempt to learn to loop by copying the strokes of the pros, but this is not the best way to pick up proper looping technique (but it's a great way to groove bad habits!).

Today I'm going to highlight a looping drill that I picked up from English coach Mark Smith that will force new players to use correct technique while learning to loop, thus avoiding picking up any bad habits in the first place. So if you are struggling to get to grips with the loop, why not give this drill a try?
