The player is now in the middle of his return to a neutral ready position.

Points to look for:

  • The hips, waist and shoulders have continued to turn back towards the left.
  • The free arm has also moved back towards the left due to the turning of the shoulders.
  • The right leg is moving a little backwards, to help bring the player back to a more neutral stance (which typically has the right foot a little behind the left foot).
  • The playing arm is returning to its neutral position.
  • The player is now watching the opponent play his stroke.
