The forward swing has come to an end, and the ball is well on its way.

Points to look for:

  • The player is still watching watching the flight of the ball. This is fine, since the player will have plenty of time to turn his attention towards his opponent.
  • The hips, waist and shoulders are a little higher than the original ready position, due to the lifting motion.
  • The elbow of the playing arm is around shoulder level.
  • The free arm has been used to maintain balance.
