The player has realized the ball is coming straight at him, so he has decided to play a backhand lob.

Points to look for:

  • The player is in a fairly square stance, which is fine since he will be using a defensive lob, which is upwards and a little forwards. For a more offensive lob, the player could use a slightly more backhand stance, with the right leg a little in front of the left.
