The ball is heading upwards and forwards, and the player is in the middle of his follow through.

Points to look for:

  • The player has continued to push upwards with his legs, and is now in a fairly upright position. He has pushed a little more with his left leg than his right.
  • The free arm has moved very little throughout the stroke.
  • The trajectory of the ball (at around 45 degrees), is evident.
