The forward swing has come to an end, and the ball is on its way.

Points to look for:

  • The forward swing has finished close to the ground, and roughly in front of the right shin.
  • The hips, waist and shoulders have turned a fraction to the right, due to the forward swing.
  • The bat is still held in a near vertical angle, although the wrist has snapped forward during contact with the ball, so that the tip of the bat is now pointing more towards the floor than the camera.
  • The free arm has stayed in position.
  • The player is now has the bulk of his weight on his right leg.
