The Falkenberg Table Tennis Drill

By , About.com Guide

In this article we'll be taking a look at the Falkenberg table tennis drill, which is well known in most ping-pong circles.

A Falkenberg drill consists of one player (the feeder) standing in his backhand corner, feeding the ball to his practice partner's backhand corner twice, then forehand corner once. Then the cycle repeats.

The person doing the drill (the feedee? - let's call him the trainee) hits every ball to the feeder's backhand corner, and plays the first ball from his backhand corner with his backhand, then the next ball from his backhand corner with his forehand, and then moves over to his far forehand to hit the ball in his forehand corner with his forehand.
