fiberglass blade

By Greg Letts, About.com

Definition: A fiberglass blade has layers of fiberglass between the wooden plies. The layers of fiberglass are supposed to increase the speed and stiffness of the blade, although not as much as carbon layers. This also gives a fiberglass blade a little more touch and feel than a carbon blade.
