penhold grip

Definition: The penhold grip is used when the player holds the racket handle between his thumb and index finger as if he was holding a pen (hence the name).

The penhold grip has its own advantages and disadvantages, and has several variations, including the Traditional Chinese Penhold Grip, the Japanese/Korean Penhold Grip, and the Reverse Penhold Backhand (RPB) Grip.
