Definition: The dome of a rubber is the amount that the rubber curls up when speed glue (or normal glue) is applied to the sponge. The speed glue soaks into the sponge and causes it to expand more than the topsheet of the rubber, making the rubber curl with the topsheet on the inside.
A reverse dome occurs when the rubber curls the other way, with the sponge on the inside of the curl.
