Definition: A table tennis rubber is a sheet of ordinary pimpled rubber or sandwich rubber glued onto a table tennis blade so that it can be used to strike the ball legally under ITTF rules. You may not strike the ball with a side of the blade that does not have a rubber sheet glued to it.
