The ball has bounced on the table, and the player is in position to play his stroke.

Points to look for:

  • The player has maintained his forehand stance, even though he will be playing a backhand loop.
  • Notice also how the bat has been brought well below the ball, since the serve is a backspin ball that the player will need to lift.
