The player has made contact with the ball.

Points to look for:

  • The blurring of the bat also displays the direction the bat has taken - a relatively straight line forwards and upwards when viewed from the side.
  • Again, the high speed of the bat and forearm snap is evident, when compared to the lesser motion of the upper arm.
  • The playing elbow is now relatively stationary, as the forearm and wrist are snapped, using the elbow as a pivot.
