The ball has bounced on the table, and the player is moving into position to play his stroke.

Points to look for:

  • The player has started to step forward with his left foot, to bring his body closer to the ball.
  • The player has already extended his playing arm, and will now continue to move forward with his body to get to the ball.
  • The free arm is being used to help balance the player while he is reaching for the ball.
