The ball is on its way over the net, and the player has finished his follow through.

Points to look for:

  • The follow through has finished well below shoulder height. Since this is a touch stroke instead a power stroke, there is no need for a long follow through.
  • The player has actually brought his bat backwards sharply after finishing the follow through. This is not really necessary to play the stroke, but was caused by the player wanting to play a faster than normal push, and consequently trying to make his stroke short and sharp.
