The ball is heading over the net, and the player has finished his follow through.

Points to look for:

  • The player has finished moving after making contact with the ball, as shown by the clearness of his body in this photo. Ideally, the body and head should be still before making the stroke, to give the best conditions for making good contact with the ball.
  • Note the full extension of the arm, with the forearm straightening fully.
