The player has now returned to his ready position.

Points to look for:

  • The player has returned his bat to a neutral ready position, with his free arm in synch with his playing arm.
  • As mentioned previously, the player has recovered so that he is facing towards the line of play, which is now coming from his opponent's forehand corner, instead of the backhand corner.
  • The player is in mid-bounce - he will move further down into his crouch as he continues to get ready for his next stroke.
