Middle of Return to Ready Position

The player in in the middle of his return to a basic ready position.

Points to look for:

  • The player is now beginning to move his right leg back into position. Note that because he flicked the ball crosscourt, he will not move his leg back to where it started, but he will keep it closer to the table since he is now going to face the new line of play - which is crosscourt.
  1. Ready Position
  2. Beginning of Stroke
  3. Moving Towards the Ball
  4. Pre-Contact With the Ball
  5. Contact With the Ball
  6. Beginning of Follow Through
  7. End of Follow Through
  8. Beginning of Return to Ready Position
  9. Middle of Return to Ready Position
  10. Return to Ready Position
