The backswing has finished, and the forward swing about to start.

Points to look for:

  • The shoulders have turned a little to the left, and are now at a slight angle to the endline of the table.
  • The bat has continued to move backwards into position. This will allow the player to swing forward when striking the ball.
  • The player has continued to focus on the ball.
  • The player has a slight forward lean from the waist.
  • The free arm has dropped slightly to get out of the way of the forward swing.
