Gao Jun Penhold Blocking
Gao Jun of the USA won an Olympic silver medal for China way back in 1992 in the Women's Doubles, with partner Chen Zihe. She has since represented the USA at two Olympics (2000 and 2004), and will be looking to add to her medal collection in Beijing.

Gao is a right handed traditional chinese penhold grip player who uses short pips on her racket, and relies on well placed blocks, pushes, and changes of pace to control her opponents and set up her own measured attacks. Gao is pictured here in her favorite position, up close to the table controlling proceedings with her backhand block. She is a picture of poise and performance.
