Li Jia Wei of Singapore played off for the bronze medal in Women's Singles in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, but ended up losing to South Korea's Kim Kyung Ah and finished in fourth place. Li will be hoping to erase that bitter defeat and finish among the medals in Beijing.
Li is a right handed shakehand attacker who uses short pips on her forehand to drive the ball with power, and inverted rubber on her backhand. This will be her third Olympic Games.
