A two-time Olympian, Timo Boll of Germany was a quarter-finalist in the Men's Singles in Athens 2004. Timo has also won two European Championships, in 2002 and 2007.
A shakehand two wing looper who uses unusually large grip changes between his forehand and backhand and relentlessly attempts to topspin every stroke, Timo has struggled in the past to produce his best form in the Olympic Games and World Championships Individual Events.
Timo is pictured here playing a typical forehand loop from a low crouched position. Note the cocking of his wrist to allow a little bit extra wrist snap when contacting the ball.
