Wang Hao of China was the silver medalist in Table Tennis - Men's Singles at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, which was his first Olympics. Using a racket with inverted rubber on his forehand and backhand, Wang is the world's foremost proponent of the Reverse Penhold Backhand (RPB) grip.

Wang Hao is known for his fierce backhand loops and two wing looping playing style.

In this photograph, Wang Hao is shown preparing for his trademark RPB backhand loop. Notice how he has turned his wrist so that the back of his penhold paddle will be used to hit the ball.
