Fresh from good results at the Top 10 and Australian Closed, May had another good tournament, leading the South Australian women to the position of second Australian state, behind Victoria.
May made the quarterfinals of the Womens Singles, losing to the experienced defender P.F.Tan of Singapore in a tough 4-2 tussle. In the Womens Doubles, May and partner Kerry Bungey defeated the team of Peri and Claire Campbell-Innes enroute to making the semifinals. In the Mixed Doubles, May made the quarterfinals with partner Scott Houston.
Notable wins for the tournament included defeats of Si Si Zhang, Yang Sun, Peri Campbell-Innes and Claire Campbell-Innes.
