I believe the list price of a Smartpong is $1500, through the North American distributor, though it may be available for less during an introduction period. Compared to the Butterfly Amicus 3000 and TTmatic 502, the price performance of the SmartPong is clearly superior. I think many will take issue with the fact that this robot is almost all plastic, like the Newgy, while the others of made of metal. However, I think that the proven reliability of the Newgy robots show that the construction of the SmartPong robot can last for many years without problem. The Xushaofa robot is also in the price range, but doesn’t seem to be available at this time.Summary
Though I have had a few issues with the robot initially, I am fully satisfied with my unit. I have owned both a Sitco and TTmatic 302 robot, and while they were/are both outstanding robots that have helped improve my game, I have always wished that they had some programmability but still at an affordable price.
