The player has returned to his ready position.

Points to look for:

  • In this case, the opponent has not reached the ball, so the player has not bothered to return to a crouched position. If the opponent had made a good return, the player would have had his knees bent more, with his bodyweight slightly more forward, so he could move in any direction required.
  • It is recommended that you recover to your ready position after each stroke, regardless of whether you think your opponent will reach it or not.
