The player is now starting his follow through after contacting the ball.

Points to look for:

  • As it will be possible to see from the remaining photographs, the player has pushed the ball crosscourt.
  • The relatively slow speed of the bat is shown by the low amount of blurring of the bat in the photo.
  • The bat is travelling downwards and straight towards the target area crosscourt.
  • Note that the player's head and body have now stopped blurring, since they are relatively stationary. Ideally, the head and body would be still just before contact is made, to allow the best contact with the ball.
