The player is starting to move into his ready position.

Points to look for:

  • Since the player is demonstrating several serves in a row for the camera, rather than playing a match, he is starting to move back into his serving position, and is pushing his weight to the left. During a match, he would continue to swing his right leg to his right and move his weight to the right, moving into his ready position just to the left of the center line of the table.
  • The player has a forward lean to aid balance and movement in all directions.
