Contact With the Ball

Contact has been made with the ball.

Points to look for:

  • The bat has stopped moving forward soon after making contact. This is because the playing elbow has not moved during contact. Checking the position of the playing elbow against the previous photograph will confirm this.
  • The wrist has snapped in the same direction as the edge of the bat, imparting a great deal of spin by brushing the ball.
